Live at Pompstation: Giuseppe Campisi Trio

Acoustic and electric bass player, composer and arranger Giuseppe Campisi grew up in the beautiful Mediterranean island of Sicily, where he developed his passion for music from a young age, and currently lives in Barcelona (Catalonia). During the course of the years Giuseppe – who has earned a degree Magna Cum Laude in Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music as well as a master in Jazz Performance at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam - has written for and performed with a wide variety of groups, ranging from small settings to large ensembles and working actively both as a sideman and as a leader of his own projects. He has performed in major festivals and venues, including Umbria Jazz, Umbria Jazz Winter, Bimhuis, Red Light Jazz Fest, Amersfoort Jazz Festival, Grachtenfestival, Catania Jazz, Bflat, International Festival du Luth à Tétouan, Flamenco Biënnale (…) and he has performed and recorded in Europe and in the United States with artists like George Garzone, Bob Moses, Dick Oatts, Ben Van Gelder, Marcello Pellitteri, Jasper Blom, Christian Pabst (…). For this concert at Pompstation Giuseppe's trio will perform original compositions as well as jazz standards from the tradition of this music.
